place all ingredients in blender, in order listed
start the blender on low and increase speed to high, using the plunger to break up air pockets and crush the chickpeas
if you’re using a conventional blender, stop and use a spatula to make sure chickpeas are pushed toward the blades
if the mixture seems too thick, add more water
add salt at the end, then taste
feel free to add more spice according to your taste preference
can be stored in a sealed container in the fridge for a week
enjoy with cut up veggies, crackers, in a wrap or in a sandwich!
