Also known as wolf berries, Goji berries, native to China, are loaded with beta carotene and antioxidants, and have been used in ancient chinese medicine for eye, liver and kidney ailments. They can be eaten raw or soaked in hot water to make them plumper and softer. I enjoy adding them to my smoothies along with my hot porridges for added nutrition. They look like red raisins but they don’t taste as sweet. Give them a try and let me know what you think.
